JMIR Publications Proudly Welcomes Lars Riedemann as Editor-in-Chief of JMIR XR and Spatial Computing

JMIR Publications is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Lars Riedemann as editor-in-chief of JMIR XR and Spatial Computing.

Dr. Riedemann, MD, is a consulting neurologist and digital clinician scientist trained in clinical neurology and biomedical engineering at the University Hospital Heidelberg, Harvard Medical School, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also an autodidactic artificial intelligence (AI) engineer, medical community builder, and innovation architect working at the intersection of health care, AI, and immersive technologies.

JMIR XR and Spatial Computing (JMXR) is a new journal by JMIR Publications (the leading publisher in the digital health space) focusing on extended reality (XR) and spatial computing applications in human health and well-being, including but not limited to health and medical care settings. Topics of interest for this journal include medical applications of XR, including immersive technologies, interactions or social connections within 3D virtual worlds or the metaverse, and concrete applications in surgery, rehabilitation and assistive technology, ophthalmology, medical education, medical research, and medical practice.
