JMIR XR and Spatial Computing has met the editorial criteria for inclusion in the Web of Science

(Toronto, December 2, 2024)  We are pleased to announce JMIR XR and Spatial Computing has met the editorial criteria for inclusion in the Web of Science™. This means that JMIR XR and Spatial Computing may receive its inaugural journal impact factor as early as 2026, which is a major achievement for a new journal that started publishing in 2024. This is consistent with Clarivate's recent announcement that JIFs will be expanded to all Web of Science™ Core Collection  journals.

This milestone serves as a testament to the journal's contribution to publishing innovative and impactful research on extended reality (XR) and spatial computing technologies within the health care and medical sectors as well as the dedication of the Editorial Board overseeing the journal.

We thank our authors, reviewers, and editors for making this success possible.
